Abstract
The ways of dealing with the deceased among population
groups of the Eastern European Forest-Steppe
during the Scythian Period were various. The remains
of the deceased could be buried in the ground or under
burial mounds on the territory of settlements, and
either in household buildings or in special graves. Human
bones could be stored at the settlement territory
after exposure or primary burial.
