Abstract
This article analyses issues which arise in the implementation of cultural heritage projects in Lithuania.
The research methodology is based on data collected through municipality websites and short questionnaires
with civil servants – specialists working on cultural heritage projects – from municipalities in
the Klaipeda region. The content-analysis method has been used to determine the exact number of projects
in each of the seven municipalities of the Klaipėda region. According to the research findings, despite
success in cultural heritage projects, all project implementers face several problems, the most
common of which is a lack of finance. In addition, municipalities lack competent human resources and
suffer from a lack of time.
