Abstract
The study compares communicative strategies of the film-concert as a screen form of academic music presentation in European traditions, particularly in Paris and Vienna. Using audiovisual, structural–compositional, and microanalytical methods, it examined online recordings of solo and ensemble performances. The research found that the film-concert evolved as an independent media form combining documentary and artistic principles. Its genre structure reflects the increasing aestheticization of visual language, where filming, editing, and spatial solutions act as interpretative tools. Montage rhythm, camera angles, and lighting organize the artistic space and shape perception, turning music into both an auditory and visual experience. The camera mediates between performer and viewer, transforming the latter into a visually engaged participant. Screen communication thus becomes a “fourth link” in musical interaction, forming a new artistic presence. The study’s practical value lies in its relevance to modern music directing, media education, and screen representation of academic art.
